Manju Deshbandhu Gupta, wife of Lupin's founder, lthe ate Deshbandhu Gupta, is one of the co-founders and first investors of the company. She is the fifth richest Indian woman at Rs 18,000 crore. She served as the Executive Director of Lupin till 2017 and has been a Member of the Board for over four decades.
